Izan Almansa, a forward for the Perth Wildcats, has made his intentions clear by officially entering the 2025 NBA Draft, as confirmed by his agent Guillermo Bermejo to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
At just 19 years old, the Spanish player has shone while representing Spain at various national levels, including the senior team. He received the MVP award at the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2022 and the U19 World Cup in 2023, and he also excelled at the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship, taking home top accolades.
Prior to his tenure in Australia, Almansa trained for two years in Real Madrid’s youth program before heading to the United States, where he played for Overtime Elite and subsequently joined the G League Ignite.
Although he attended the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, Almansa opted to withdraw in order to hone his skills further with the Perth Wildcats, now set to enter the 2025 draft with valuable experience.
During the 2024–25 NBL season, Almansa registered an average of 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game, showcasing his shooting ability with a 51% field goal percentage.
Additionally, a number of other European prospects, such as Egor Demin, Bogoljub Marković, Noah Penda, and Kasparas Jakucionis, have also declared for the 2025 NBA Draft.
