Rising Star Hugo Gonzalez of Real Madrid Set to Make NBA Draft Dreams a Reality

Following Izan Almansa, yet another promising Spanish player is preparing to enter the 2025 NBA Draft.

As reported by Jonathan Givony, Real Madrid’s forward Hugo Gonzalez is poised to announce his decision to join the draft.

At just 19 years old, Gonzalez featured prominently in Real Madrid’s lineup this season, recording averages of 3.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 10 minutes over 50 games, and he is anticipated to be selected in the first round.

He made his ACB debut with Real Madrid at the young age of 16 and led the club’s junior team to victories in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in both 2023 and 2024, where he was named MVP in Munich.

Gonzalez has already established an impressive track record, excelling at the U17 World Cup and U18 EuroBasket in 2023 and 2024, and received a call-up to the Spanish senior national team in February.
