A budding talent from Europe is gearing up for an NBA career, as Nolan Traore has announced his intention to enter the 2025 Draft, per ESPN reports.
The point guard currently plays for Saint-Quentin in the French Betclic Elite league and is expected to be selected within the top 20 picks.
“I’m thrilled to advance in my career by declaring for the NBA Draft. I still have many ambitions with my team — to finish the regular season on a strong note, qualify for the playoffs, and navigate a successful draft process. My goal is to be chosen in a position that offers a clear path to immediate playing time. I’m ready for that,” Traore shared with ESPN.
Alongside his participation in France’s premier league, Traore has also competed in this season’s Basketball Champions League, averaging 11.5 points and 4.9 assists over 35 games, each lasting about 23 minutes.
“This year in France has posed its challenges, which have made me a considerably stronger and more resilient player. The transition to the NBA won’t be easy, but I believe this experience will significantly benefit me,” noted Traore.
He impressed at the Nike Hoop Summit last year, putting up 18 points against notable prospects like Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, and Dylan Harper. Additionally, he set a scoring record in the ANGT Finals with 45 points in a game against Barcelona.
The NBA Draft Combine is scheduled for May 11–18 in Chicago, followed by the draft itself on June 25–26 in New York.
