Knicks Pacome Dadiet Faces Trade Move as Team Prioritizes Veteran Guards

The ongoing roster developments with the New York Knicks have positioned Pacome Dadiet as a potential trade option, as reported by The Stein Line on Sunday.

The 20-year-old French forward made his debut in the NBA Preseason 2025 at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena but was subsequently benched in the following game against the Philadelphia 76ers. During a total of 24 minutes on the court, he managed to secure four points, three rebounds, and one assist. In his debut season, having been drafted 25th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft presented by State Farm, Dadiet averaged 1.2 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks across 20 games.

A forward-looking role seems unlikely for Dadiet in his second season, as he is anticipated to be traded prior to the commencement of the 2025-26 Regular Season. The Knicks appear keen on keeping Malcolm Brogdon and Landry Shamet, both of whom are under Exhibit 9 contracts—one-year, non-guaranteed agreements utilized during training camp. To retain these guards on the roster alongside Garrison Mathews, the team will need to free up one spot before finalizing their lineup for opening night.

Reports suggest that trading Dadiet is the most probable outcome.

Before his tenure with the Knicks, Dadiet competed in the BKT EuroCup and Germany’s easyCredit BBL with ratiopharm Ulm from early 2023 until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, having begun his professional journey with Paris in 2021.
