Knicks Pacome Dadiet Facing Trade Likelihood as Roster Dynamics Shift

An evolving situation with the New York Knicks roster has placed Pacome Dadiet on the trade block, as indicated by The Stein Line on Sunday.

The 20-year-old French forward made his debut in the NBA Preseason 2025 at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena but was relegated to a bench role in the subsequent matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. Across a total of 24 minutes played in those two games, he secured four points, three rebounds, and one assist. During his rookie season, after being drafted 25th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, he averaged 1.2 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks over 20 games.

As Dadiet vies for a more significant role in his second season, a trade before the 2025-26 Regular Season seems imminent, particularly since the Knicks are keen on keeping guards Malcolm Brogdon and Landry Shamet. Both players, aged 32 and 28 respectively, have been signed to Exhibit 9 contracts, which are one-year non-guaranteed agreements typically utilized during training camps. To accommodate retaining Brogdon and Shamet, along with guard Garrison Mathews, one contract will need to be offloaded to finalize the opening night roster.

Reports suggest that a trade involving Dadiet is the most probable outcome.

Prior to joining the Knicks, he played in the BKT EuroCup and in Germany’s easyCredit BBL with ratiopharm Ulm from early 2023 until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season after starting his professional career with Paris in 2021.
