A shifting roster situation with the New York Knicks has positioned Pacome Dadiet as a potential trade target, as reported by The Stein Line on Sunday.
The 20-year-old French winger made his debut in the 2025 NBA Preseason at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena, but has since experienced a decline in playing time, spending the most recent game against the Philadelphia 76ers as a bench player. Over the course of 24 minutes in the preseason, he recorded four points, three rebounds, and one assist. During his rookie year, after being chosen as the 25th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft presented by State Farm, he averaged 1.2 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks across 20 games.
As he aims for a more significant role in his second season, it appears that Dadiet is likely to be traded prior to the commencement of the 2025-26 regular season. The Knicks are inclined to keep guards Malcolm Brogdon and Landry Shamet, both of whom have signed Exhibit 9 contracts—one-year, non-guaranteed deals typically utilized during training camp. To accommodate both players, along with fellow guard Garrison Mathews, the team must release one contract before finalizing the roster for opening night.
Reports suggest that a trade involving Dadiet is the most probable outcome.
Prior to joining the Knicks, he played in the BKT EuroCup and Germany’s easyCredit BBL with ratiopharm Ulm from early 2023 until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, after starting his professional career with Paris in 2021.
