The 2025-26 NBA season is set to be historic.
As reported by Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks are signing Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way contract. This groundbreaking move will mark the first instance in NBA history where three siblings—Giannis, Thanasis, and Alex—will all be under active contracts with the same team.
According to Octagon’s Alex Saratsis, Alex will join his older brothers Giannis and Thanasis on the Milwaukee Bucks with this two-way NBA deal. This unprecedented situation means that for the first time ever, three brothers will share an active roster on the same NBA team. Last week, Alex Antetokounmpo parted ways with Aris Betsson and was anticipated to return to the G League. If this agreement is finalized, it won’t be Alex’s first experience with the Wisconsin Herd, the G League affiliate of the Bucks, as he has previously played for them during the 2022-24 seasons. After not having any NBA appearances, he played for various European clubs, including Mažeikiai (2024), Podgorica (2024), PAOK (2024–2025), and Aris (2025). However, with this new two-way contract, he is poised to make his NBA debut, raising the exciting possibility of seeing three out of the four Antetokounmpo brothers on the court together.
