Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers concluded their preseason games with a close 116–117 loss to the Sacramento Kings, finishing their preparatory run with a 1–5 record.
The Slovenian sensation put on another impressive display, scoring 31 points and dishing out nine assists. Following the game, he shared his thoughts on the team’s current state and areas that require enhancement as they gear up for the 2025/26 season.
“Clearly, practice differs from games. In practice, we tend to be more physical. As I mentioned, we must focus on improving our physicality,” Luka stated during the post-game press conference.
He also pointed out that there is still work ahead, particularly with LeBron James currently out due to an injury.
“There will be times when we have a smaller lineup on the court, and other times we’ll have a larger one. We have some issues to address — particularly in terms of our physicality.”
The Los Angeles Lakers are set to kick off the regular season against the Golden State Warriors on October 21.
