Kevin Durant’s storied journey through basketball is the focus of an upcoming sports documentary series on Netflix.
Production commenced prior to the 2023-24 NBA season and is set to extend into the ongoing 2025-26 season, as revealed on Thursday.
The two-time NBA champion will reflect on the pivotal moments of his career and what lies ahead.

According to the press release: “With the 2025–26 NBA season officially underway, Netflix is taking a deeper dive into basketball with a new project that showcases the illustrious career of Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant.
In collaboration with OBB Pictures, the film and television branch of OBB Media, and Boardroom, Netflix is creating a definitive documentary series that chronicles the life of the NBA legend both on and off the court: from his upbringing in the Washington, DC, and Maryland area to his time at the University of Texas, his immediate impact in the NBA, and his contributions to the United States Olympic team.
Filming for this series commenced before the 2023–2024 season, in anticipation of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics — which were depicted in the Netflix series Court of Gold — where Durant achieved the status of the most decorated male basketball player in Olympic history. Production will carry on throughout the current NBA season — Durant’s inaugural season with Houston — and will continue for years to come as he approaches the concluding chapters of his Hall of Fame career. Now in his 18th season in the NBA, Durant has claimed two championships, earned 15 All-Star selections, and received one MVP award, two Finals MVP titles, and four Olympic gold medals. Additionally, he holds the record for most points scored by a USA player in Olympic history and stands as the leading career earner in the NBA.”
