San Antonio continues to showcase its outstanding performance at the beginning of the 2025/26 season, with Victor Wembanyama shining brightly.
The Spurs triumphed over the Brooklyn Nets with a score of 117-107, maintaining an undefeated record of 3-0, thanks in large part to the French basketball prodigy.
After an exhilarating opener where he scored 40 points against the Dallas Mavericks and narrowly missed a triple-double with an impressive stat line against the New Orleans Pelicans, Wembanyama once again displayed his prowess. He posted a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds, leading San Antonio to victory over Brooklyn.
Additionally, he recorded six blocks in the game, bringing his season total to an impressive 18! No other player in the league has surpassed seven blocks.
Dylan Harper made his mark with 20 points and eight assists, while Keldon Johnson contributed 19 points and seven rebounds for the Spurs.
On the opposing side, Cam Thomas excelled with 40 points, becoming the fourth player in Nets history to achieve double-digit 40-point games, joining the likes of Vince Carter, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant, but he didn’t receive enough support from his teammates.
For Brooklyn, Egor Demin added three points, four rebounds, and one assist in just under 19 minutes, while Ben Saraf failed to score but provided five assists in under 15 minutes of play.
