“We play in different eras, but I have to mention Giannis. The game has progressed since my time, which is exactly what you hope for — progression in the sport,” O’Neal remarked when asked to draw comparisons between himself and Giannis Antetokounmpo at their peak.
Antetokounmpo is off to an explosive start this season, showcasing the same overwhelming dominance that once defined O’Neal. In his first three games, he has been averaging 36.3 points and 14.0 rebounds, spearheading Milwaukee’s impressive start.
During the matchup against the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, Giannis delivered an impressive performance with 37 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks, reinforcing his status as one of the elite players in the league.
