Boston’s defense does not double team.

They don’t send blitzes, they, they sent the second fewest the entire regular season.

The only team that sent fewer blitzes like sent doubles off off these, uh, off these picks was, uh, Detroit, maybe Detroit should have tried doubling a little bit more.

Um, so, so Boston has this idea that every time, like they have so many good perimeter defenders that they’re gonna switch as, as much as possible, they’re gonna play drop coverage, you know, they’re gonna get you into one on ones.

They’re not gonna give you four on three basketball against Luca Danic.

Sometimes he just makes you do that, you know, we saw that in game five, right?

You know, the close out game against Minnesota, there was nothing you could do but double him, there was literally no other option.

And so that identity for Boston is, is either they’re gonna have to commit to switching and that includes at times, Al Horford and Christus, you know, you can hide those guys on Derek Jones Junior.

But, um, you know, maybe if Max he gets in the game, he’s, he’s more of a pick and pop threat you may just have to switch even the big men, you know, and you may have to switch, you may have to switch Sam Houser.

Uh you may have to switch uh Derek White who as good of a defender.

He is as he is the Yeah, maybe.

Well, Luca might look at that guy and be like you, you’re too small, you know, you must be sure you might do the little too short thing.

So, on the other side of the court, dallas’ identity is that they always stay at the rim, you know, they always have help protection there.

They’re gonna find a shooter, they’re gonna sag off of them.

Can you do that with Boston?

I’m not so sure, but spacing just every single player who will play in the series…
