I’m Tom Haberstroh and you’re watching the big number.

Today’s big number is 32.

That’s the number of consecutive free throws that Kyrie Irving has made as a visitor in Boston.

That’s right.

32 or 32.

When Irving steps to the line in game one on Thursday, Boston fans will surely let the former Celtic hear it, but Irving has been unflappable at TD Garden as an opponent even going back to his Cleveland days since leaving Boston in 2019, Irving has made all 30 of his free throws in Boston over that time.

It’s the second most free throws without a miss as a visiting player in that building trailing only Damian Lillard and the streak went back even further to 2017.

The 2024 NBA finals has no shortage of fun storylines heading into game one.

But Kyrie’s active free throw streak in Boston may take the K as evidenced by that insanely perfect 32.
