Game one of the NBA finals is a wrap.

The Boston Celtics took care of the Dallas Mavericks on their home court defeating them 107 to 89 in what didn’t really feel like a competitive match up?

The Boston Celtics, I mean, from the onset had the foot on the gas.

Chris asked this is going to be the true X factor in this series.

He hasn’t played since April 29th but man, 11 points, three rebounds, three blocks in that first quarter.

He helped the Celtics get out to a 17 point lead, which is the largest first quarter lead in NBA finals history.

He finished with 20 points, but I think this was a clear clear matchup advantage that the Dallas Mavericks have no answer for which brings me to my next point.

Someone’s got to step up for Dallas.

I mean, Luca Dodges does his thing always but Kyrie Irving six for 19 from the field, the role players PJ Washington, Derek lively Derek Jones junior, just no one really stepping up offensively, nine assists in the NBA finals.

That’s not gonna cut it.

That was the lowest amount all season long lastly.

Gotta shout out Jalen Brown.

He took that Eastern conference finals MVP momentum right into game 1, 22 points, six boards, three blocks and three steals.

He talked about how he wanted to be recognized for his defensive accolades and that’s the way you do it.

Something to look out for and watch, but too early to panic to fill out game for Dallas.

I’m expecting them to make more adjustments in game two to make that more competitive.
