Rumor: Milwaukee Bucks to Get Enticing Deals If They Trade Brook Lopez in 2024 Offseason

There’s plenty of work to be done if the Milwaukee Bucks will re-establish themselves as the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. Any championship glow they got to enjoy during their epic 2021 title run is long gone, and the front office needs to make a couple of changes after losing to the Indiana Pacers.

While opinion is still up in the air when it comes to Damian Lillard’s compatibility with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s style of play, it’s important to note that the Greek Freak didn’t play a single minute of playoff basketball due to injury.

Moreover, Lillard played well during his first season in Milwaukee. It was such a solid season that some fans were shocked that he was snubbed from any All-NBA Team this season.

Aside from these two, almost every other player on the Bucks roster is a possible trade piece to acquire more suitable talent. One of the players being shopped around was a key player during the team’s championship run against the Phoenix Suns.

Reports suggest the Milwaukee Bucks are open to getting offers for Brook Lopez

Nobody expected Brook Lopez to survive the pace-and-space era brought about by the Golden State Warriors, but he managed to re-invent himself into a terrific big man who can space the floor with his three-point shooting.

While his production with the Bucks has always been solid, his lack of athleticism is hurting the team in more ways than one.

Due to this, Lopez may be one of the first players off the Bucks roster to get shipped off to another team to retool the team for next season.

Per Dairyland Express’ Jovan Alford:

Gery Woelfel reported on Monday that the Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Houston Rockets are interested in Lopez. Woelfel adds that the Rockets ‘courted’ Lopez last year in free agency before returning to the Bucks.

Every team mentioned in the list can provide the Milwaukee Bucks with whatever they need to improve their roster. It’s up to the Bucks if they’re willing to part ways with Lopez to get that one player that will help them compete with the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks next season.
