After beginning the season in the G League, the French point guard signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
The former Detroit Pistons player started in five consecutive games for Jordi Fernández’s team; however, his contract expired, and as reported by Brian Lewis from the New York Post, the Nets will not be signing him to another 10-day deal.
During his time with Brooklyn, Hayes played in six games, recording an average of nine points, 5.2 assists, and three rebounds.
The 23-year-old guard was chosen as the 7th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he played for four seasons, participating in 210 games and averaging 8.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.
Prior to his stint with the Nets, he excelled in the G League, where he averaged 21 points and 8.3 assists.
