Jokic Commends Nuggets Collective Strength and Stellar Defense in Dominant Game 7 Victory Over Clippers

Nikola Jokic expressed his satisfaction with the Denver Nuggets’ performance in Game 7 against the Los Angeles Clippers, which propelled them into the second round of the playoffs after a dominant victory.

“Finding a way to secure the win. Identifying the players, gaining momentum, making crucial stops, and scoring the baskets we needed. This is the perfect way to describe our team: we are adept at finding our path,” Jokic remarked when discussing the notable contributions from multiple players on the Nuggets squad during the match.

In the game, Jokic tallied 16 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while every starter for the Nuggets scored a minimum of 15 points. Additionally, Russell Westbrook came off the bench to deliver a significant contribution with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

After falling behind 26-21 at the end of the first quarter, the Nuggets made significant strides defensively, outscoring the Clippers 72-40 over the course of the second and third quarters. Jokic and his teammates turned the contest into a lopsided affair, stretching their lead to as much as 35 points.

“Our defense was exceptional,” Jokic stated. “We rebounded well, and our defense was outstanding. We seized the opportunity to run. Many players rose to the occasion and made critical shots.”

“In the playoffs, it’s understood that everyone must elevate their game—defensively, offensively, with energy, in every aspect,” Jokic noted.
