Rockets Rally Behind Senguns Stellar Game, Force Game 7 Against Warriors

Facing elimination from the NBA Playoffs, the Houston Rockets mounted a fierce comeback, securing a 115-107 victory on the road against the Golden State Warriors.

Alperen Sengun delivered an impressive double-double, recording 21 points and 14 rebounds, along with 6 assists. He remarked, “I believe it’s essential for me to play like this. I know I need to approach the game aggressively – that’s my mindset.”

Throughout the playoffs, the Turkish sensation has been averaging 20.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game—this marks his debut postseason series since arriving in the U.S.

To push the series to a Game 7, Fred Van Vleet also rose to the occasion, contributing 29 points with a shooting performance of 6/9 from three-point territory and a flawless 9/9 from the free-throw line.

His display resembled those stellar performances from his days with Toronto during the 2019 NBA Finals. Additionally, Houston’s #5 collected 8 rebounds and distributed 8 assists.

On the opposing side, the dynamic duo of Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler for Golden State combined for 56 points, but it ultimately fell short. Game 7 is now set to take place on Monday, May 5th.
