Thunderstorm Disrupts Nuggets: Oklahoma City Evens Series, Knicks Take Control Over Celtics

Following an impressive outing in which he scored 42 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to give the Denver Nuggets a 1-0 series lead, Nikola Jokic and his squad faced a crushing defeat in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, spearheaded by MVP contender Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, dominated the Colorado team with a 149–106 victory, leveling the series at 1–1.

Jokic concluded the game with 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, but also recorded six turnovers and fouled out after 32 minutes of gameplay. His performance resulted in a career-low plus/minus of -36.

“Tonight, it was like one team was on the court,” remarked the Serbian center. “They played aggressively, drove past us, and excelled on the boards. They simply outperformed us by a significant margin, which reflects in the score.”

On the opposing side, Shai was relentless, scoring 34 points and facilitating eight assists while shooting 11-of-13 from the field. German player Isaiah Hartenstein added 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

The series will now move to Denver for the next pair of games, with Game 3 scheduled for May 10th at 04:00 AM CET.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the reigning champion Boston Celtics find themselves in a precarious position, down 0–2 after the New York Knicks secured another victory at TD Garden, narrowly winning 91–90.
