The Oklahoma City Thunder rebounded from a sluggish start to thoroughly defeat the Denver Nuggets, 125-93, securing their place in the Western Conference Finals.
Struggling with injuries among several pivotal players, including Aaron Gordon, who played through a left hamstring strain, the Nuggets were eliminated in Game 7 of their best-of-seven series. After initially establishing an 11-point lead in the first quarter, the home team responded with a dominating 13-0 run and ultimately enjoyed a staggering 43-point advantage in the fourth quarter.
Eliminated from the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google on Sunday, Nikola Jokic finished with 20 points on 5-of-9 shooting. After playing nearly 37 minutes before the starting lineup was benched for the final nine, the Serbian star also contributed nine rebounds and seven assists at Paycom Center.
In more European highlights during NBA Sundays, 27-year-old German center Isaiah Hartenstein contributed 10 points from 5-of-7 shooting on two-pointers, along with seven rebounds and one assist. Mark Daigneault’s team was exceptional, committing just nine turnovers throughout the game.
With Nikola Topic (who is out due to left knee surgery) still on the injury list for the Thunder, Belgian Ajay Mitchell stepped in with five points and one rebound, while Frenchman Ousmane Dieng added a rebound during mop-up time. Slovenian Vlatko Cancar and Croatian Dario Saric were inactive for the squad coached by David Adelman.
Following a commanding finish to the Conference Semifinals, the Thunder are set to begin the Conference Finals with Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Paycom Center on Tuesday.
