Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara from Belgium, Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert from France, and LA Clippers center Ivica Zubac from Croatia have been named to the NBA’s Second All-Defensive Team.
According to a recent press release, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort, Golden State Warriors forward-center Draymond Green, Cleveland Cavaliers forward-center Evan Mobley, and Houston Rockets guard-forward Amen Thompson have been recognized as members of the 2024-25 Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team.
This marks the first time that Daniels, Dort, and Thompson have been included in either the Kia NBA All-Defensive First or Second Team. Draymond Green achieves this honor for the fifth time on the First Team and has a total of nine selections to the All-Defensive Team overall. Evan Mobley, who has been named the Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year for 2024-25, receives his second First Team designation, having previously made it in the 2022-23 season.
The 2024-25 Kia NBA All-Defensive Second Team features Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara, Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, Memphis Grizzlies forward-center Jaren Jackson Jr., Oklahoma City guard-forward Jalen Williams, and LA Clippers center Ivica Zubac.
Camara, Williams, and Zubac are achieving selections to the Kia NBA All-Defensive Team for the very first time. Gobert secures his eighth All-Defensive Team selection, while Jackson earns his third, with both being recognized on the Second Team for the first occasion.
A global panel of 100 media voters was responsible for electing five players for the Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team and another five for the Kia NBA All-Defensive Second Team. Players received two points for each First Team vote they garnered and one point for each Second Team vote.
