Knicks Fight Back with Commanding Game 5 Win to Stay Alive in Playoffs

In a must-win situation during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Knicks maintained their lead from the very beginning, ultimately securing a 111-94 victory over the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden.

Jalen Brunson was the standout performer, scoring a game-high 32 points on Thursday night. Karl-Anthony Towns, despite dealing with a minor injury to his left knee, contributed significantly with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds.

OG Anunoby played nearly 34 minutes for the Knicks, managing to narrow the series gap in the best-of-seven playoff format to 3-2. However, his shooting was off, finishing with 1 for 7 from beyond the arc and 2 for 7 from inside. The 27-year-old forward ended the game with 11 points, four rebounds, and three steals.

In the fourth quarter, German player Ariel Hukporti logged 40 seconds on the court, contributing two points, while Pacome Dadiet from France did not see any action under coach Tom Thibodeau.

As they prepare to head back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 6, the Pacers will look to secure their spot in the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV this Saturday.

If necessary, Game 7 is slated for Monday.
