James Harden is set to continue his journey with the Clippers.
As reported by ESPN, the 11-time All-Star has chosen to forgo his $36.3 million player option and will instead ink a new two-year contract valued at $81.5 million to remain in Los Angeles. The agreement includes a player option for the second year and comes with partial guarantees.
The 35-year-old guard enjoyed a solid season, averaging 22.8 points and 8.7 assists over 79 games — his highest number of appearances in nearly ten years. Harden played a crucial role in steadying the team during a season marked by injuries, particularly concerning Kawhi Leonard.
This decision allows the Clippers to retain one of their key leaders while also preserving their financial flexibility for the future.
