WASHINGTON (AP)— Guard Bilal Coulibaly of the Washington Wizards may be sidelined for the rest of the NBA season following a right hamstring injury sustained earlier this week in a game against the Toronto Raptors.

On Thursday, the team revealed that Coulibaly is anticipated to be out for a period of 4 to 6 weeks, opting for a conservative treatment approach. With the Wizards’ last game of the season approaching in 4 and a half weeks, this news raises concerns.

The 20-year-old from France, who was selected seventh overall in the 2023 draft, is currently averaging 12.3 points and 3.4 assists in his second year with the Wizards, a team struggling at the bottom of the league with a record of 13-51.
